You Are Invited to an Irish Tradition |

In 1983, President Ronald Reagan and Speaker Tip O'Neill began a St. Patrick's Day tradition that continues to this day: the Friends of Ireland luncheon. Tomorrow at noon ET, President Trump, Vice President Pence, and Prime Minister Kenny of Ireland will all be attending this bipartisan event in the Capitol, hosted by Speaker Ryan—an Irishman in his own right. And you are invited to join them. Here's how:

  1. Morning - Check out Speaker Ryan's Instagram story for exclusive photos and video leading up to (and during) the luncheon.
  2. Noon - Watch the Facebook livestream of speeches from Speaker Ryan, President Trump, and Prime Minister Kenny (in that order). As always, you can also see it on
  3. Night - Can't tune in live? No problem. Sign up for email updates to see behind-the-scenes photos of the whole event, delivered right to your inbox.

Last thing: Don't forget to wear green and BYOG (Bring Your Own Guinness).
