Got plans this morning? If not, we hope you’ll tune in at 10:00 a.m. ET to a key Ways and Means Tax Subcommittee hearing on how tax reform will help small businesses grow, invest, and create new jobs.
Lawmakers will hear from small business owners about the struggles they face under the current tax code. These small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy. While Washington should be making it easier for them to raise wages and hire, we’re actually doing the exact opposite. That’s why we must enact commonsense reforms that help our small businesses and grow our economy.
As Chairman Peter Roskam (R-IL) said, “Americans continue to witness how our current tax code stifles opportunities for small businesses and their workers in communities across our nation. . . . Their personal experiences and practical advice are essential as the House, Senate, and the White House work together to deliver comprehensive, permanent tax reform this year.”
The hearing follows another constructive meeting this week with House, Senate, and White House leaders. Republicans are more committed than ever to getting permanent, pro-growth tax reform done in 2017.
